Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Careers Service include, in particular:

  • conducting research and analyzing alumni career paths to support the needs of the Jagiellonian University, employer expectations, student expectations, and job and internship offers;
  • cooperating with JU alumni, employers, labor market institutions, business support organizations (including technology transfer centers and business incubators), chambers of commerce, associations, and bodies bringing together career counselors in Poland and abroad;
  • providing group and individual career counseling for students and alumni;
  • organizing events that prepare participants for effective functioning in the labor market and support the development of entrepreneurship, such as job fairs, presentations, and training sessions;
  • collecting and sharing information about professions, the labor market, and opportunities for acquiring, supplementing, and enhancing professional qualifications, as well as gaining work experience through internships and placements;
  • providing substantive support for tasks related to the operation of JU's IT systems within the scope of tasks carried out by the Careers Service, as well as implementing new solutions and planning the functionality of these systems.
