Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the International Students Office include, in particular:

• information and administrative support for international students/PhD students, as well as postgraduate students;
• information and administrative support for incoming and outgoing students and PhD students at the Jagiellonian University, particularly with regard to intercultural differences and adaptation challenges;
• information and administrative support for JU units in matters related to the service of international students/PhD students, and postgraduate students, as well as student, PhD students, graduate, and staff mobility;
• handling matters related to cooperation with NAWA in the field of scholarship programmes for foreigners, the MOST Programme, and the Erasmus+ Programme (Key Action 1: Learning mobility of individuals in higher education – student and staff mobility);
• project management: learning mobility in higher education, student and staff mobility, international mobility of students with special needs under the POWER programme, and higher education mobility under the Education Programme;
• substantive support in matters related to the operation of JU's IT systems in the scope of tasks carried out by ISO, including the implementation of new solutions and the planning of system functionalities.
